My experience and qualifications:

• GMA Award winning Recording Artist (3 albums), with radio singles played in 89 countries
• Bachelor of Arts in Honours Music from the University of Waterloo (2009 graduate)
• Music (worship) director at Country Hills Church from 2012-2015
• Private vocal teacher since 2010
• Studied under “Singing Success” program
• Have been a professional background vocalist for Revelation Sound (www.revelationsound.ca) and AME Recording Studio (www.amerecordingstudio.com)
• Have sang on various albums and been in various bands over the years
• Was a vocal director in high school show and attended the Ontario Education Leadership Centre (OELC) for music in 2002
• Have been singing on stage since age 13
• Prepare students to sing and perform in a recital each Spring
• Experienced in classical music, pop, rock, R&B, and jazz

My experience and qualifications:

• Grade 8 Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM)
• Experienced performer for concerts, weddings, church services, coffee houses, fundraisers, funerals, and other events
• Along with having a thorough knowledge of sight-reading and ear-training, I teach songs based on chord structures, which is a very effective method
• Teach music theory as a part of lessons
• Teach children and adults

SONGWRITING LESSONS
LONDON SONGWRITING LESSONS

Winning a Gospel Music Award (and being nominated for 2 others) is something I’m very grateful to have experienced!  I’ve been writing songs since I was about 12 years old. Since then, I have written probably over 200 songs, and recorded 3 albums. One of my greatest passions is to teach others how to write songs! Not everyone has the gift of songwriting, but I have found that 80% of my students have been able to co-write a song with me that they love. I have even gone to the recording studio a couple of times with students to record their original songs!

This is a unique type of lesson. It’s artistic more than anything. In songwriting lessons, I do not focus on getting better at instruments, but instead focus on the art of composing a song.

I’ve had Lindsey as a piano teacher for 4+ years now. She has helped me develop a passionate love of music, and she’s also helped push me to go out of my comfort zone to show my newfound musical talents to others. I’ve learned so much from her.
